Later I planned on making few Diwali (Indian Festival)cards. This card was easy to make and also different from the regular cards.Original card was made with penny but for the diwali card I used new one rupee coin.

Origami Action Toy

Hello again
This time I created an Origami Catapult and Basketball hoop. I was asked to give a small speech about origami in my hubby's office and show them how to do an origami model. This was the one I choose to show, since I showing for a group of young engineers who are more interesting in action toys. When I finished making this model even I started playing them. I keep this one on my desk, so when I needed a quick break I play with them. The tiny ball was made out of 2" square paper.....yep its an origami ball too. I've attached a video to show the toy in action.

Origami Gift Box and Slam Book

I made this Origami gift boxes and Slam book for my mother-in law's 60th birthday. The box was called origami but it didn't have any folds only measuring ,scoring and cutting. Its a 3" inch square box so we were able to fill  it with chocolate and a small gift.

Slam book was very elegant and everything was made from the scratch. The cover was made from the cereal box cardboard and embellished with chipboard shapes and rhinestones. One more thing which I enjoyed doing was binding this book together. I used We R Memory Keepers The Cinch 2 for the first time and it turned out perfect on the first try itself so its that easy to use. Both the items were simple and neat very apt for the occasion.

Stationery box

The Stationery Box looked very interesting to create. I liked the way it folds up into a box and also it doesn't occupy too much desk space, so found the tutorial on splitcoaststampers. First I thought it looked little complicated but once I started, it was very simple. Added my favorite handmade flowers and embellished the box with beads. Butterfly are from cheerylynn designs die and also I used spellbinders A2 filigree delight die set. I'm using it as a desktop organiser.

Triple Tier Slider Card

I made this card for my Mother-in-law's 60th b'day. Both are slider cards but different size and also they pulling mechanism differ. Decorated the card with martha stewart border punch and also created a bow with 1" strip lightweight cardstock. Both the cards are simple and easy to make.

Cards

I was looking for Spellbinders Bitty Blossom die ideas , that is when I found these card. Since I didn't have pearlized paper I used pearl paint on the white cardstock and added some bitty blossom flowers (one on the right).
Shadow box card was also very easy to create......I had to make a box envelope for these cards so that they won't be crushed.

Roses

Photography done by my daughter Sumi

First I made a rose with Tim Holtz Tattered flower die, after that I couldn't stop making roses...aren't they all lovely. Roses which are in the center were made from 5 petal flower dies or punches (spellbinders rose creations or eksuccess punch). Added some glitter and beads to it. To make it look more real like the one on the left side, I sprinkled some water and squeezed each petals, once it dried shaped the petals, it looks very pretty.

Stationery Box with Drawer

For sometime I wanted to make a Stationary box for A2 cards. I was able to find a tutorial for the drawer on Splitcoaststampers but for the rest I made it on my own.

Decorated with MarthaStewart border punch and some beads. For closure I used magnets (or you can use velcro). Something was missing on the top so I added one of my handmade flowers for which I used EKsuccess 5 petal flower punch. Now my box looks simple and neat.

Quilled 3D Dolls

First when I showed the dolls to my friends and family they thought it was made out of wax or plastic. Its amazing to see how strips of paper can be made into pretty small dolls. I learnt the art of 3d quilling from Shalini Mittal (crafterscorner.in). Tea tray set were the hardest of all, smaller the doll harder it becomes to make. Lady looks adorable and charming in her Red gown!!!

Scrapbook Album Cover

I wanted to create a srapbook album for My Happy Moments. It took me couple of weeks to go over all the digital photos and then select my favorite ones (somewhere around 300 photos). I chose a Black Handmade paper album so that my pictures will pop out....decorated only the album cover, rest of the pages are filled with pictures of my most cherished moments during the 14 years of my married life.

Handmade flowers with pearlescent paper, leaves are some Cheerylynn designs and the rosettes were made from 3/4 " and 1" strips. Sprinkled with glitter, added some pearl and rhinestones. Atlast I coated them with Mod Podge Glue for long-lasting.

Valentine's Day Origami Heart Shaped Box

I'm blogging for the first time so I like to start with my all time favorite "ORIGAMI". I found this Origami bow on the web,it looked very real so I tried it...VOILA it turned out pretty good. I wanted something special to put this cute bow on, so I searched the internet and I found this charming Heart Shaped box from YouTube. This box was made out of one A4 sheet paper cut into 2 pieces ,one for the lid and one for bottom. After finishing the box I started decorating with handmade flowers (I'm a flower craze)and some rhinestones. My heart box was empty so I need something to fill it. Key and the heart were made from Spellbinders jewel key set. Now there is the KEY TO MY HEART.
